The other members of the quest will not help.
You can complete the adventure after having only visited the sewer (G) which both less rewarding and less heroic whilst not being the sort of service that you expect from the Silver Crest. (You only get 50 gold)
Keep fighting the rats until you get Item:12299 Small Iron Lever. Place it in the nw alclove Gaining 32 xp. Move nw and sw levers down then ne and SE down as well. Go down the grate to the east. Fight the devourer leave and get your reward.
