The following is an incomplete list of the characters you will encounter or hear mentioned in the world of Sryth, including historical figures and noteworthy creatures. Many of the descriptions here contain hints or spoilers about adventures in the Quest List. They can be good to refresh your memory about past adventures.

In general, we have not included unnamed NPCs except when their title serves as their name (such as the Guildmaster) or when they seem to be intentionally nameless (such as the Painted Peddler). Entries start in alphabetical order by name (last name, if available, otherwise whatever name is known), using the most common spelling found in the game (see talk).

If you're having trouble finding a particular entry, try sorting by location to narrow it down or use your browser's Find function (usually Ctrl-F) to search for it. It's always possible that it doesn't exist yet, in which case see the instructions at the bottom of the page to add it.

Adding items to the list[]

To add a new entry to list, edit the page and use {{TableRow4}} as shown here (you can copy an existing line and change the contents, if that's helpful). Try to place them in alphabetical order by name (last name preferred, if available) rather than title. If you prefer to see them displayed by first letter in the entry, just sort the table by name afterwards.

{{TableRow4|Anchor|Name|Description|Location}}
  • Anchor: Adds a hidden anchor to the name passed as parameter #1, so you can link to that row (for instance, #Thane Pyrond). Will also be the name shown if you leave the second entry blank.
  • Name: Will be shown in the first table column. Can be a link to a related page, a {{Reference}} call, or whatever. If Name is empty, defaults to Anchor.
  • Description: Whatever seems relevant - physical description, role, related quests, etc. You can link easily to other nodes using {{In}}
  • Location: Will be automatically linked to the location's wiki page. If the quest spans multiple locations or the character appears in more than one location, pick the best match and make a note in the Description.
